Guitar Hero songs
How to make custom songs. A common question or concern is "how do I make my own guitar Hero songs?". You will need a variety of specific software and a good pc with windows XP or later operating system equiped with a good DVD burner. You will also need a PS2 with a mod chip or other slide tool or swap magic. The process is a bit detailed but it's worth it and you will soon be rockin out to your own custom Guitar Hero songs. Below is an excellent video tutorial and list of items needed to make it all work. This is for PS2 and Guitar Hero 2 but we will soon have Guitar Hero 3 and Xbox versions of the method available.

Here is a great youtube tutorial from bubblebubbletea on how to add your own custom songs to Guitar Hero 2.
Here is the list of what is required for adding custom songs to Guitar Hero 2:
- A newer Computer with XP or later OS
- DVD burner
- A PS2
- Quality Blank DVD-R's such as Sony,Taiyo,Yuden,Maxll or Verbatim
- Custom Software
- A free Scorehero.com account
- MP3 origionals of songs
- Chart files for the MP3's
- Guitar Hero Explorer also from Scorehero.com/forum
- a CD - DVD gernerator
- Gnie IML2ISO tool
- good DVD burning software such as Nero or Alcohol 120% or DVD Decrypter. Google is your friend.
- Archive software such as Winrar or WinAce such as here
- To play the completed disc you will need a PS2 with the mod chip, slide tool or swap magic. For slide tool instructions on a fat PS2 go to this Youtube video
